Easter gives us a chance to get together with family, and we were happy to get to meet the newest addition, Mason. He was born on January 22, and Pam and James have adapted to the roles of parents admirably.
Here's my mom holding him. It was a busy day, and he was very tired, but we enjoyed meeting him!

Oh, he is a cutie-pie!
Hi Deb: Mason looks like a real sweetie. Thanks for leaving a message on my blog and commenting on Miss Calico. I seldom get messages directly on my blog as most everybody writes me at my email (sallie@ican.net) so it was fun to get a comment for a change. Also interesting to see that you live in Renfrew. As you no doubt noticed, I spent many summers outside of Palmer Rapids on the Madawaska not far from Combermere. The closest "big city" was Barry's Bay". We sometimes went up over Christmas and Spring Break -- when the snow allowed us to. Anyway, I love that part of Ontario and I am enjoying meeting your family via your blog. Hope warmer weather comes soon.
Sallie Thayer.
